Preview: Oh Stanford...why did you have to lose to Utah? This game would have been huge! It’s still a big game, but Stanford is definitely vulnerable. Their defense is still good, and will be a big test for Hundley, especially without RB Jordan James. Watching the Stanford defense is like trigonometry in motion. They will come at Hundley with a mix of blitzes and coverages. I will be interested in seeing how he handles it. Skov and Murphy are masters of the blitz; UCLA’s OL will have to be on their toes. On the other side of the ball, I will be interested to see what Barr can do against a dominant OL. I expect his role to be similar to the Nebraska game, where he plays in space more than rushing the passer. Kevin Hogan is going to need to play better to beat them. The winner of this game will look to challenge the Ducks for top dog in the Pac-12.
