Key Matchups: Carey v. Pullard/Dawson -- Madden v. Flowers/Fisher

Preview: This game should look more like a Big 10 game, than the high flying Pac-12 we are used to. So far this season it appears obvious that Arizona’s offense is one dimensional. That will hurt Ka’Deem Carey against USC’s talented D. He will get a chance to show if he can carry the load, and make big runs against them. He needs to break tackles to show NFL scouts he’s ready for the league. I will be watching to see if Pullard and Dawson can read U of A’s option and shutdown Carey. Speaking of one dimension, USC hasn’t found much of a passing game. Redd is expected to play, but I would still peg Madden as the workhorse. He has been a bright spot for USC. I expect USC will ground and pound, particularly with Lee injured.
