Vegas Baby! Vegas! I’m who doesn’t love Vegas? Why this bowl game isn’t a bigger deal is beyond me. This is the best game of the early bowl games. Derek Carr has been rising up draft boards, and is now being talked about as a top 5 pick. USC features the best defense he’s ever seen, so this is going to be a great test for him. DE George Uko, LBs Hayes Pullard and Devon Kennard, CB Josh Shaw, and SS Dion Bailey could all be drafted in 2014. Not to mention Top 5 prospects for 2015 and 2016 in DT Leonard Williams and LB Su’a Cravens. Carr will have to play his best game to solidify his status as a Top 5 pick. But he’ll get some help from monster WR Davonte Adams. Adams had about half of Carrs 200 TD throws this year, because he plays when the ball is in the air. It’s doubtful that he’ll come back to Fresno to break in a new QB. So needless to say, pay attention when Fresno has the ball. Take your bathroom breaks when USC has the ball. Marqise Lee and Nelson Agholor will have big days on a bad Fresno D. In spite of what other have said, Marqise Lee is still good. Also, they’ll run the ball with Tre Madden, Silas Redd, and DJ Morgan. FS Derron Smith will make some plays, but it won’t be enough to slow down Lee and Agholor.
